God,
Your word says that you are our healer, provider, and comforter. Today, we need you to be all of that and so much more. We desperately need your protection. Psalms 18:2 says you are our protection and our shield. God we need you to shield us today. God help us to be strong and courageous, help us to keep fighting the good fight, but deliver us from our enemies. God right now there is so much division, we act as if we don’t know who our true enemy is. God protect us from the evil one and all of his schemes to divide us further.
God unite us as one nation under God. God you know that everyone is not treated the same in this nation and I ask that you protect all of those that are treated differently. Protect the black men and women so that they will see justice served like every other member of society. God be a shield around them during every traffic stop, every house call, and any other possible encounter with police. God protect those that have immigrated to this country. God shield them from any unfair treatment based on the color of their skin and the language that they speak. God remind those that encounter them that they also are children of God.
God I also ask a shield of protection be placed around the hospitals and clinics. Protect the healthcare workers as they battle this unforgiving virus. God also protect the politicians as they war against one another, help them to see that fighting each other prevents them from fighting this pandemic, racism, and all of the different natural disasters. God send rain to the west coast, help Iowa, Louisiana, and Arkansas rebuild.
God be our refugee. Let us find peace, rest, and solace in you.
God we ask these things in Jesus name.
